policecar3The Waynesboro Police Department is investigating a home invasion armed robbery in which shots were fired.

On Thursday, Oct. 10, at approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to an apartment at Fairfax Hall, 1101 Reservoir Street, for a report of several masked subjects entering the building armed with weapons.  When officers arrived, they spoke to three victims, a 60 year old Waynesboro man, a 41 year old Waynesboro man and a 38 year old Richmond man.

All of the men indicated that at least three masked men with guns entered the complex when a one of the victims opened the door for a female friend.  As soon as they entered, the assailants forced all three victims on the floor and robbed them of cash and other valuables estimated at $550.  During the course of the robbery, the subjects fired at least two shots.  Other than the 38 year old victim receiving minor lacerations, there were no injuries.
