Waynesboro man pleads guilty in molestation case

White-David-LeeA Waynesboro man will spend 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to an amended felony charge in a child molestation case.

David Lee White, 31, had been charged with forcible sodomy in connection with a sexual assault of a 6-year-old boy that took place last fall.

White pled guilty to taking indecent liberties with a child and was sentenced to five years in prison, with three and a half years suspended.

The assault came to light in May when the victim’s mother reported to the Waynesboro Police Department that her son had told her that White, who was a family friend at the time, molested him in October 2014.
