Wayne Theatre to host News Virginian City Council debate

waynesboroThe Wayne Theatre will serve as the venue for a News Virginian-sponsored Waynesboro City Council debate on Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m.

The race for the At-Large seat has two candidates: Nancy Marion Dowdy and Terry R. Short Jr.

The Ward A candidates are Elzena M. Anderson and John H. “Sonny” Smith Jr.

The Ward B race features incumbent Bruce E. Allen and challenger Jerry C. Campbell.

News Virginian editor Brian Carlton will serve as moderator for the event, with questions submitted from local residents.
