UVaHelmet_1Ocean Lakes cornerback T.J. Griffin, a recruit in the UVA football class of 2015, has been released from his letter of intent, coach Mike London announced today.

Griffin, a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports, had been set to enroll at Fork Union Military Academy for a post-graduate year

“We have granted T.J. Griffin a release from his letter of intent to allow him to enroll at another institution this fall,” London said in a statement released Friday. “He contacted me with the request and explained his reasons for not wanting to enroll at a prep school this fall. I understand his personal situation and want to do what is best for this young man and his family. We wish him the best in the future.”
