Two people charged with murder in death of Norfolk woman at nursing home

The June 30 death of an 81-year-old Norfolk woman has been ruled a homicide, and two people are in custody charged with second-degree murder.

Norfolk Police have charged Heather A. Cummings, 53, of Hobart, Ind., and Clifton L. Cummings, 24, of Norfolk, with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Cleo A. Loizides, 81, of Norfolk.

Police were called to Commonwealth Senior Living located at 890 Poplar Hall Drive at 11:55 p.m. on June 30 for the report of an unresponsive patient. When first responders arrived, Loizides was pronounced deceased at the scene.
