TNA Impact ratings up 23 percent

Chris Graham

tv-clipartThe sendoff for AJ Styles helped send ratings for TNA Impact Wrestling off to a recent high.

This week’s episode drew 1.393 million viewers, up 23 percent from the Jan. 2 viewer average of 1.128 million viewers.

The main event of this week’s Impact episode featured a title unification match between AJ Styles and Magnus. The match, which was pre-taped, was the finale in TNA for Styles, who was unable to come to terms with TNA on a contract extension and is now a free agent with dates in Ring of Honor and some indy promotions.

Ratings for Impact have generally been on the rise since the Nov. 28 episode cratered at 921,000 viewers.
