The Agenda | Friday, Aug. 21

After taking a few days off to get things back in order, The Agenda is back with a vengeance.
Well, OK, vengeance is a strong word. Though it sounds good in the movies to say that you’re back with a vengeance.
Good news – we have some activity to report.

– Democratic Party gubernatorial nominee Creigh Deeds will be in Harrisonburg on Friday for a walking tour of the downtown district.
Deeds will begin his tour at Old Dominion Coffee Company, 2 N. Main St., at 2:45 p.m.

– Still nothing in terms of a scheduled Valley visit from the Steve Shannon attorney-general campaign. This one has become a war of attrition.

– We’re working behind the scenes to have Creigh Deeds in Waynesboro to help open the Waynesboro Democratic Committee headquarters on Labor Day weekend. The early word is that things are looking good for such a visit. More details later.

– The Jody Wagner campaign has confirmed that Wagner will not be able to make it to the planned HQ opening in Waynesboro.

– One more Deeds item: I met with a rep from the Deeds Country campaign this week. He left me 100 yard signs to distribute locally in addition to bumper stickers, T-shirts and cups. E-mail [email protected] if you want to get some Deeds schwag.
