Tech rolls to 65-point win over Mount St. Mary's

Virginia Tech held Mount St. Mary’s to 11 points in the first half and 17 percent shooting for the game en route to an easy 99-34 victory Sunday.

Erick Green led five Hokies in double figures with 17 points. Jeff Allen had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Tech (9-4, 0-1 ACC), which shot 69.2 percent from the floor.

“I watched Mount St. Mary’s on film and Penn State had to make a buzzer shot to beat them. So, I didn’t expect this, but we made shots,” coach Seth Greenberg said.

Mount St. Mary’s (3-12) got 16 points from Lamar Trice.
