Tech Council nominates AFP for High-Tech Company Award

Augusta Free Press LLC is a nominee for the High-Tech Company Award in the Shenandoah Valley Technology Council’s Tech Nite 12 Awards.

The High Tech Company Award recognizes outstanding commercial growth and achievement by an established company that produces and markets predominantly high tech products or services.

The other nominees in the category this year are Cadence Inc. and Dynamic Aviation.

“We are humbled to be mentioned in same breath with established companies like Cadence and Dynamic Aviation. It truly is an honor just to be nominated,” said Chris Graham, the president and co-founder of Augusta Free Press LLC, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2012.

Augusta Free Press is the parent company of two local- news websites, AugustaFreePress.com and LurayPageFreePress.com, and the Virginia Press Association award-winning New Dominion Magazine. AFP also provides marketing/advertising, public-relations and web- and graphic-design services for clients throughout the Shenandoah Valley, Northern Virginia and Hollywood.

The May 2 awards presentation will be held at the Festival Center at James Madison University in Harrisonburg.
