Staunton theatre company celebrates a decade of mystery

This month, Staunton’s Clever by Half Productions (which produces 100% original and portable murder mystery dinner theatre) kicks off its 10th anniversary celebration with a brand-new show, HINT.

When Mr. Brown invites six of his dearest friends to a dinner party, they expect to paint the town red. However, once it’s clear that blackmail is the name of the game, murder is added to the menu. So, who finally showed their true colors? Was Mr. Pine green with envy? Is the widowed Mrs. Snow as innocent as she seems? Did Senator Wheaton have the guts or was he too yellow-bellied for such a crime? Follow the clues and catch the killer red-handed in Clever By Half’s newest murder mystery, HINT.

Founded in 2005, Clever By Half Productions (formerly Golden Duck Productions) performs murder mystery dinner theatre throughout Virginia at resorts, wineries, breweries, corporate events, and private parties. The company employs more than a dozen local actors, and is currently poised to expand the touring arm to include a larger radius with more venues.
