Senator Tim Kaine to offer campaign website in three foreign languages

Contributors

Tim KaineSenator Tim Kaine will offer his campaign website in three foreign languages – Spanish, Korean and Vietnamese – as a part of his commitment to speaking to a growing diverse electorate in Virginia.

Throughout his campaign, Kaine has shared his vision of a Virginia that works for all – regardless of race, ethnic background, nationality, gender or sexual identity. With the launch of the newly-translated versions of timkaine.com, the campaign can speak more clearly to the issues important to Virginians who may communicate in more than one language.

“I have had the pleasure of calling Senator Kaine a great friend of the Latino community since his days serving in city government in Richmond,” said Zuraya Tapia-Hadley, a Latina leader and president of the Shirlington Employment and Education Center. “He’s proven time and time again that he is a strong advocate for the Latino community and he has stood by our side consistently, fighting against anti-immigrant policies that only serve to divide us.”

“Senator Kaine has always been dedicated to values shared by the AAPI community in Virginia, and offering his website in multiple languages is yet another example of his commitment to diversity,” said Kaine for Virginia Political Director Alice Lin Tong. “He deeply believes in ensuring every Virginian is treated equally and with dignity – not just securing freedom from discrimination but also establishing access to good jobs, affordable health care, and a quality education.”
