Sad,sad news: Jake the Snake Roberts diagnosed with cancer

Chris Graham

jakethesnakeClass of 2014 WWE Hall of Fame inductee Jake the Snake Roberts has been diagnosed with cancer and will undergo emergency surgery on Tuesday, according to a report on TMZ.

Roberts noticed a growth behind a knee that was the size of a half-dollar and had it tested last month, according to the report. He got word from doctors on Friday that the growth was cancerous.

“If the devil can’t defeat me, cancer doesn’t stand a chance in hell! Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease ’cause The Snake will be just fine,” said Roberts.

Roberts has made a miraculous recovery from years of substance-abuse problems in the past year with help from Diamond Dallas Page.

Roberts appeared on a Top Rope Pro Wrestling show in Waynesboro, Va., in April 2013.
