Richmond: Man, woman charged in connection with September murder

Two Richmond residents have been charged in connection with a September murder on Richmond Highway.

Douglas Harris, 51, of Richmond, has been charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a violent felon in connection with the Sept. 26 death of Manchee Edwards, Jr., 23, of Richmond.

Kellie Johnson, 46, of Richmond has been charged with first degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the shooting death.

Edwards was found dead in the front yard of a residence in the 200 block of Richmond Highway at 7:12 a.m. on Sept. 26.
