Update: State Police release name of victim in one-vehicle fatal crash in Crimora

Update: Monday, 11:10 a.m. Virginia State Police Trooper J.T. Lotts is investigating a single-vehicle crash in Augusta County. The crash occurred Saturday at 2:21 a.m. on Route 340, approximately 2 miles north of Route 612.

A 1995 Toyota 4 Runner was traveling north on Route 340 when it ran off the right side of the road. The driver overcorrected, the vehicle crossed over Route 340, ran off the left side of the highway and struck a tree.

The driver, Amber R. Brogan, 32, of Crimora, Va., was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

 

Original post: Saturday, 3:13 p.m. At 2:21 a.m. Saturday, Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash in Augusta County.

A vehicle traveling in the 2000 block of Eastside Highway in Crimora ran off the road and crashed. There is one confirmed fatality.

The crash remains under investigation.
