New McAuliffe ad highlights plan to invest in workforce development

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe’s campaign released a new TV ad today, “As Governor,” highlighting McAuliffe’s plan to invest in Virginia’s community colleges and strengthen workforce development programs to prepare Virginians for the jobs of the future. McAuliffe will also conclude his tour of Virginia’s twenty-three community colleges today, touring the workforce development facilities at Richmond’s J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College with Senator Tim Kaine. Today’s community college tour closes out a week of education events McAuliffe held across the Commonwealth.

“Terry is committed to giving Virginia’s community colleges and its students the tools to succeed in the 21st century economy,” said McAuliffe spokesperson Josh Schwerin. “By supporting workforce development training and job-readiness training, Terry believes we can invest in Virginia’s future and its people. Business leaders and mainstream Republicans from around the Commonwealth are supporting Terry because of his commonsense solutions to growing and strengthening Virginia’s economy.”
