road-work-headerMotorists should expect possible delays on two Amherst County roads, weather permitting.  Crews will be patching the decks of structures on Route 29 and Route 501. Lane closures will be in place.

On Monday, November 3 and 4, crews will patch the deck of the Route 29 South bridge over Otter River. OnWednesday, November 5, crews will move their operations to the Route 501 North bridge over Opossum Creek. In both cases, all work will be performed in the right (travel) lane. Signs and other traffic control devices will be used to alert motorists to these changes in traffic pattern.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through these and any highway work zones. For additional information about work zones statewide, visit www.511Virginia.org or call 511.
