Morgan Griffith honored as Hero of Main Street

Letters

morgan griffithCongressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) has been honored as a Hero of Main Street by the National Retail Federation. The award recognizes Members of Congress who have voted, introduced bills, and advocated policies to promote the health of the retail sector, which overwhelmingly consists of small businesses.

“It is an honor to be recognized as a ‘Hero of Main Street’ for my record in the House of Representatives,” said Griffith. “I have consistently fought for policies that promote jobs and economic growth in the Ninth District. With better policies in place, our economy is moving in the right direction. I will continue to advocate for growing jobs and businesses in our communities.”

“Retailers and consumers are feeling good about the state of the U.S. economy, and a big part of that is the result of lawmakers who have made economic growth and job creation a top priority,” National Retail Federation President and CEO Matthew Shay said. “As a Hero of Main Street, Congressman Griffith truly understands that the decisions made in Washington have a real impact on local businesses and communities across the country.”
