Ramon Aguilera Bedolla, 40, was taken into custody on charges including possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm while in possession of illegal drugs.
Waynesboro Police executed a search warrant at Abarrotes La Victoria, located at 440 W. Broad St., at approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
During the search, police seized 39 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $3,900, a handgun, $1,900 in cash, a 2010 Ford F150 King Ranch pickup truck and thousands of money-wire transfer receipts from the business.
At the same time police were conducting the raid at the store, a second search warrant was being executed at Bedolla’s residence in the 2000 block of Whitebridge Road in Waynesboro. At that location, police recovered more money wire transfer receipts and over $8,000 in cash.
Bedolla was held on a $2,000 secured bond and transferred to Middle River Regional Jail.
This incident is part of an ongoing investigation into a large scale methamphetamine trafficking organization that spans from central Mexico to Waynesboro and the Shenandoah Valley. Additional arrests are pending.
