On Saturday, October 22, and Sunday, October 23, on the heels of the final presidential debate, Hillary for Virginia will hold its largest Weekend of Action yet, with thousands of Virginians knocking on doors across the Commonwealth.
At events in Northern Virginia, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Norfolk, Governor Terry McAuliffe, First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe, Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam, Attorney General Mark Herring, House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer, Congressman Gerry Connolly, Congressman Don Beyer, former Maryland Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown, congressional candidate LuAnn Bennett, congressional candidate Eileen Bedell and congressional candidate Jane Dittmar will join volunteers and supporters to lay out the stakes of the election.
They will point to Clinton’s words in the final debate that, “It’s really up to all of us to demonstrate who we are and who our country is and to stand up and be very clear about what we expect from our next president, how we want to bring our country together, where we don’t want to have the kind of pitting of people one against the other, where instead we celebrate our diversity, we lift people up, and we make our country even greater. America is great because America is good.”
With more people voting in this election than any in history, Democratic leaders will encourage Virginia voters to visit iwillvote.com to ensure that they have all the information they need to vote on Election Day.
