Chris Graham

ac libraryAugusta County Library will celebrate Star Wars Day from 4-5 p.m., Monday, May 4 at the Fishersville and Churchville Libraries.  Participants will enjoy games, activities and show off their costumes with a Star Wars theme.

This free event will be fun for the entire family.  Plus, everyone who wears a Star Wars inspired costume will receive a special prize.

Identifying May 4 as Star Wars Day is a tradition started and promoted by fans through the internet decades ago.  Today, this event is celebrated around the world.

Library programmer Robin Post says, “The library visitors of all ages enjoy Star War books and DVDs. Say ‘May the 4th Be With You’ out loud and you’ll hear the Star Wars pun that inspired this event!”

The Fishersville Library is located at 1759 Jefferson Hwy. in Fishersville.  The Churchville Branch Library is located at 3714 Churchville Ave. in Churchville. For additional information, contact the library at 540-885-3961 or 540-949-6354 or visit www.AugustaCountyLibrary.org.
