Martin Brothers, Aspen Run bring bluegrass to Court Square Theater

Contributors

court square theaterThe Court Square Theater CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union Music Series continues on Saturday, February 20 with The Martin Brothers and Aspen Run, a bluegrass ensemble from Maryland.

The Martin Brothers & Aspen Run offer a straight-ahead bluegrass experience. Based in Maryland near the bluegrass hotbeds of Baltimore and Washington DC, the band is heavily influenced by the sounds of Jimmy Martin, The Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, The Johnson Mountain Boys and Del McCoury… a regular traditional bluegrass 101 course of study. While some of the members appear to be young, they started early and have truly captured the vibe of the masters as they’ve played throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

Join them at Court Square Theater on Saturday, February 20 for an extraordinary evening of vintage, bluegrass music.
