Major winner Keegan Bradley to compete in The 2015 Greenbrier Classic

greenbrierMajor championship winner Keegan Bradley, along with rising stars Justin Thomas and Peter Uihlein will compete in the sixth edition of the award-winning Greenbrier Classic at The Old White TPC Course, June 29July 5.

Amateur sensation and recently crowned Haskins Award winner Maverick McNealy isalso slated to make his Greenbrier Classic debut.

Bradley, 29, will be making his fourth appearance at The Greenbrier Classic. He recorded a career tournament best finish in 2014 with a T-4 effort after a final round four-under-par 66. Bradley’s tournament scoring average is 68.83 with earnings of $263,184.92. The Jupiter, FL resident has recorded three PGA TOUR titles since turning professional in 2008, including the 2011 PGA Championship. Bradley is currently ranked No. 39 in the world and No. 63 in FedExCup points. With 15 starts under his belt in the 2014-15 season, he has posted seven top25 finishes, three within the top10. His career PGA TOUR earnings total $15,334,590 and he has been a member of two Ryder Cup teams (2012 and 2014) and one Presidents Cup team (2013).

A star in the making, Thomas, at just 22 years old has already begun to make his mark as a professional. After a solid rookie season on the Web.com Tour in 2014, he punched his PGA TOUR ticket with a win at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, the third of four Web.com Tour Finals events. Thomas has followed up that success with five top10 finishes during the 2014-15 PGA TOUR season, including a career-best T-4 at the Sanderson Farms Championship. He is currently ranked No. 85 in the world and No. 42 in FedExCup points and has eclipsed the million dollar mark in TOUR earnings, with $1,588,775, for the first time in his young career. The Kentucky native will be making his second start at The Greenbrier Classic at the end of this month, but his first as a professional. His last visit came in 2012 as an amateur; by way of an exemption he received as the recipient of that year’s Haskins Award. Thomas finished T-46 with a 69.00 scoring average.

Uihlein, 25, will be making his Greenbrier Classic debut. The Orlando, FL resident has played primarily on the European Tour the past two seasons. In the only two PGA TOUR starts of his2014-15 campaign, Uihlein has one top10 finish, a career-TOUR best T-4 at the Sanderson Farms Championship. He was the European Tour Rookie of the Year in 2013 after winning his first event as a professional at the Madeira Islands Open and finishing 14th in the Race to Dubai. Uihlein is currently No. 183 in the Official World Golf Ranking and $286,958 in career earnings on the PGA TOUR.

Stanford sophomore McNealy completed a remarkable season as the winner of the 2015 Haskins Award, which is given annually to college golf’s top player. The prestigious award also provides McNealy with an exemption into the field for this year’s Greenbrier Classic. The Portola Valley, CA resident is the No. 1 player in the GolfWeek/Sagarin Rankings and led NCAA Division I with six collegiate victories this year. He posted a dominant 10-stroke win at the Pac-12 Conference Championships, where his 18-under aggregate score of 262 established a new league tournament scoring record. The Pac-12 Conference Player of the Year owns a 69.05 season scoring average, the second best in recorded NCAA history. McNealy claimed medalist honors at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, Southwestern Intercollegiate, Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational, The Prestige at PGA West and The Goodwin. McNealy was selected to compete this summer on the United States Palmer Cup team.

The 2015 Greenbrier Classic Concert Series will feature Keith Urban and The Band Perry beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1 and Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton at 8:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. respectively on Friday, July 3 at the State Fair of West Virginia fairgrounds. Weekly badges to The Greenbrier Classic, which provide access to the tournament grounds Monday toSunday, are available from $129 per person while supplies last and include tickets to the 2015 Greenbrier Classic Concert Series.

The Vehicle Giveaway presented by My Local Ford Dealers will allow fans at the tournament the opportunity to register to win a new Ford vehicle during each competition round (7/2/15 – 7/5/15).

Details

  • Fans must register daily at the Ford display located along the fairway of #12.
  • Drawing will take place on the 18th green immediately following the completion of play on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Winner must be present on the 18th green of The Old White TPC when drawing occurs.

The Hole-In-One Fan Jackpot adds an extra rooting interest for spectators seated in the bleachers and lawn area on Hole No. 18 from Wednesday’s Pro-Am (7/1/15) to Sunday’s final round (7/5/15). These fans will receive a cash payout for every hole-in-one made by any player, amateur or professional, in the Pro-Am or official field of competitors for the four competition rounds.
