What does this mean as far as the either kayfabe or real “quitting” story that has gripped wrestling for the past week? We don’t know. As WrestlingInc’s Marc Middleton notes, it could be that the person responsible for updating advertising simply forgot to update the TV commercial, or that WWE figures Punk will be back by March 3.
Two other possibilities: WWE is pulling a bait-and-switch, or this was a storyline from day one.
Our bet is on Option #4.
