Traffic on Route 250 (Jefferson Highway) in Augusta County will be limited to a single lane each direction on Thursday. These traffic restrictions are for paving operations from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., just east of Staunton and the Interstate 81 interchange. Eastbound and westbound drivers on Route 250 can expect delays of up to 30 minutes, and may wish to consider an alternate route.
Contractors are re-paving Route 792 (Sangers Lane) just north of its intersection with Route 250 and Rowe Road. Single-lane traffic on Route 250 allows flagging crews to safely direct vehicles through the work zone. Motorists will have access to all homes and businesses in the area of these paving operations.
Traffic restrictions are scheduled to be lifted at 1 p.m. Thursday. All work is weather permitting.
