A two-day meeting of the Virginia Code Commission will get under way tomorrow at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton.
Commission chairman Steve Landes will host the meeting.
Del. Landes, R-Weyers Cave, has made it a priority in his time in the Virginia General Assembly to work with the commission to look at laws and regulations that are obsolete and outdated for the purpose of removing them from the state code.
The meeting will commence at 1 p.m. Tuesday and end Wednesday at noon.
“As chairman of the Virginia Code Commission, it is an honor to host our October meeting here in the Shenandoah Valley,” Landes said. “It gives commission members and staff an opportunity to visit our rural community while conducting business for the Commonwealth.”
