Any interest at all in WWE Payback?

Chris Graham

wweProbably a good move by WWE to stop calling them pay-per-views. Because they’re not treating them as events that you’d pay for anymore.

It’s not entirely WWE’s fault that Payback is going to royally suck. With WWE and World Champion Daniel Bryan on the shelf following neck surgery, the only drama there is whether Stephanie McMahon will succeed in getting Bryan to give up the title or face having his new bride Brie Bella fired.

So that said: the rest of the card is WWE’s fault.

Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena for the millionth time just makes no sense. This will be the third straight big show featuring a match between the two, with the series at one win apiece. Time to move on there.

Meanwhile, The Shield vs. Evolution is only at match two in a series that saw The Shield win the first contest at Extreme Rules. A good match, just like Wyatt-Cena, but again, we’ve already seen it.

Other than that … your average Smackdown or Raw is better. Alicia Fox vs. Paige, Rob Van Dam vs. Bad News Barrett, Cesaro vs. Sheamus, The Usos vs. The Wyatts.

This one isn’t even worth $9.99.
