Health-care town hall set for Sept. 6

Chris Graham

Augusta County Republican David Karaffa is putting together a health-care town hall at Riverheads High School on Sunday, Sept. 6, from 6-8 p.m.
Karaffa sent out a press release promoting the event on Friday noting that he will be inviting U.S. Sens. Jim Webb and Mark Warner to take part.

The event is also open to the public.

I would expect the town hall to take on something of a tea-party flavor, to say the least. Karaffa showed up at a Warner town hall in Staunton in April with a gift of tea bags for the senator.

Sixth District Republican Congressman Bob Goodlatte will be hosting his own town hall on health care a day earlier, Saturday, Sept. 5, at Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater at 10 a.m.
