Football fiction is playbook for author’s reading

inman majorsLocal novelist Inman Majors will read from his most recent book, a comedy about SEC football, Wednesday, Jan. 23, at James Madison University.

Majors, who is an associate professor of English at JMU, lives in Waynesboro. He will read from “Love’s Winning Plays,” his fourth novel, which has been praised by “Publisher’s Weekly” and ESPN.com and was named one of the 20 best books of 2012 by “Bookpage.”

Majors drew from his family’s heritage as Tennessee’s first family of football to write “Love’s Winning Plays.”

Admission to the 7 p.m. reading in Room 306 of Taylor Hall is free and open to the public.
