THE BIG SQUEEZE

The Big Squeeze is a free blood pressure screening and education program at community-based sites, with the goal of lowering BP community-wide—reducing the risk for heart attack and stroke.

Wellness Classes

Stop Smoking:  Gain Independence from Tobacco (GIFT)

Smoking and smokeless tobacco cessation program that helps participants create and individual ‘quit plan’.  The fee of $25 is refunded if the participant attends all classes.  For information, please call 540.332.4988.

Live Well With Diabetes

Diabetes is a very challenging disease.  Come join this six-week program, led by Community Outreach educators, to help you care for yourself or a loved one with diabetes.  Parents, spouses and caregivers are encouraged to attend; sessions reinforce healthy eating and exercise, managing stress and fatigue and other challenges are also included.   Class is free.
