Lifeview Marketing has partnered with the not-for-profit and non-partisan organization, Virginia Organizing, to produce the documentary film, America’s Darkest Future: The Wage of an Inaccessible Early Childhood Education.
There was a time when the United States of America was ranked at the top of worldwide rankings in education and early childhood development but today we have plummeted by comparison.
During President Nixon’s administration, there was a bipartisan education reform bill placed in front of Nixon for a comprehensive early education program in this country, which he had campaigned to achieve once elected. Instead, after acquiring the presidency, he vetoed that piece of legislature. Fast forward to 2016, the advocacy for such a program has become a hot button issue and the producer of America’s Darkest Future has a mission to continue the discussion not only with policy makers but within communities throughout the nation.
The film’s primary goal is to increase exposure of a sensitive and relevant subject matter, the concept that every child deserves the right to receive a quality early childhood education no matter the socio-economic position of his or her guardians.
The high and rising cost of pre-k and the difficulty of obtaining reliable transportation to a facility serve as just two of the major obstacles for many, negatively impacting children’s chances of future academic success. With your support, our advocacy for providing equal opportunities for all children in this country can become a reality instead of rhetoric.
The community has backed the efforts of producing this project but more financial support is needed to reach its goal.
