Alisher Dadabayev joins Augusta Health Pain Management

dadabayev_alisherAlisher Dadabayev, MD, a pain management specialist, has joined the Augusta Health Pain Management Clinic in Fishersville.  The practice is located in the Medical Office Building on the Augusta Health campus.  The office phone number is 540.332.5747.  Patients at the Pain Management Clinic are seen through physician referral only.

Dr. Dadabayev earned his Doctor of Medicine Summa Cum Laude from Andijan State Medical Institute in Uzbekistan.  He completed his Anesthesiology Residency and Pain Management Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.  His professional interests are pain management and pain control through both interventional and non-interventional treatment options.  He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, International Spine Intervention Society, the American Association for Cancer Research and the Belgian Immunology Society.  He serves on the Board of Directors of the Russian-American Medical Association.

Previously, Dr. Dadabayev worked in research facilities in both the United States and Europe, and has published peer-reviewed articles in several professional medical journals.

“My goal is to improve the quality of my patients’ lives,” says Dr. Dadabayev.  “Although decreasing pain is important, improving functionality is equally important.  I’d like to help patients to return to the things they did before being held back by their pain.”

In his free time, Dr. Dadabayev enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, reading, cooking, listening to music, hiking and travelling.
