Albemarle County offers Neighborhood Leadership Learning Series

albemarleAlbemarle County is hosting the inaugural Neighborhood Leadership Learning Series on Thursday, October 1, from 5:30-7:30 pm at the County Office Building (401 McIntire Road), 2nd Floor. The Neighborhood Learning Series is a program for county residents to learn about local issues, connect with staff, and understand how to effect change in the community.

The topic of this first session will be “Transportation in Albemarle County”. Participants will learn about:

  • The agencies and people working on transportation in Albemarle
  • How projects get identified, prioritized, funded, and constructed
  • Traffic calming
  • Bike and pedestrian projects
  • Trails and greenways
