Albemarle County News: Carrsbrook Drive Pipe Replacement Project update

Chris Graham

albemarleThe Carrsbrook Drive Pipe Replacement Project is getting ready to begin. All access and right-of-way easements have been secured/recorded and the County/VDOT agreement has been executed.

A pre-construction meeting will be held with the VDOT contractor in the next few weeks to confirm the work schedule, at which point a public notice will be issued with road closure details. The road closure will affect all traffic for approximately 3-4 weeks as crews complete open-cutting of the road, pipe replacement, and road repair work.

Staff will work closely with the Schools Transportation Department to communicate to parents any temporary impacts to the school bus schedule and detour routes.

Project updates will be posted on www.albemarle.org/newsroom. If you have specific questions about the project, please contact Frank Pohl, Senior Project Manager, Albemarle County Office of Facilities Development, by e-mail [email protected] or by phone (434) 872-4501 (ext. 7914).
