Bridgewater comes up short against North Central

Contributors

North Central (Ill.) controlled the glass Tuesday evening and defeated Bridgewater College, 67-52, at the Daytona Beach Shootout.

The difference in the game was on the boards where North Central held a 40-25 advantage. Exactly half of the rebounds came on the offensive end, leading to 20 second-chance points.

For the second straight day, a late first-half run put the Eagles in a big hole at the half. North Central outscored the Eagles 14-7 over the final five minutes of the first half to lead 36-20 at the break.

The teams basically traded points in the second half as the Eagles could get no closer than 13 points in the final 20 minutes.

Ed Reddick led the Eagles with nine points while Ronnie Thomas and Aaron Adams added eight each.

The Eagles return to action on New Year’s Day when they travel to Averett for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
