After the 2009 reassessment the Board lowered the tax rate from $.58 to $.48 allowing a neutralized level of receipts. The world did not end, the county did not go bankrupt.

In 1996 when I began serving as the Pastures Supervisor the Real Property Tax Rate was $.58 per $100 of value. When I left office in 2018 the rate was still $.58.
