Rockingham County Fair to announce final concert headliner on Monday morning, June 8

rockingham fairThe Rockingham County Fair Association will release the identity of its third concert headliner on Monday morning, June 8 at 6:45 a.m.

“We are excited to be able to reveal the final name for our 2015 Pepsi Grandstand concert line-up” says Fair General manager Jeff Ishee. “Our entertainment committee has done a stellar job in arranging for the high-caliber acts we have contracted for the 2015 Fair.”

The Fair Association announced in late April that legendary country music group Alabama and the iconic Southern Rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform on Tuesday and Wednesday nights of Fair week respectively. It could not, however, release the name of the Monday night concert headliner due to contractual obligations. As of Monday morning, June 8, those legal restrictions will be lifted.

“We want to get the word out as early as feasible on Monday morning,” says Ishee. The announcement will be made via the Fair web site, social media and a traditional news release all to be published simultaneously at 6:45 a.m. Monday morning. Once the name is made public, Ishee expects people will be making plans with family and friends to purchase tickets which go on sale Friday, June 12 at 10 a.m.

Online ticket sales will be available 24/7 at www.rockinghamcountyfair.com. Phone sales at 1-800-514- 3849 are from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
