Fly Fishing Workshop

AFP

IMG_4518The “Next Great Adventure” presented by Highland County Second Wind was a Fly Fishing Workshop held Saturday, June 8th, at the Highland Public Library.

The instructor, Andy Holmaas, provided an array of fly fishing equipment including an amazing assortment of his custom tied flies with exotic names like Terrestrials, Nymphs, and Poppers.  Two of the six folks who attended also brought along their rods and the lines they use for some hands on advice.

The discussion was lively and will obviously lead to more specialized workshops in the future, perhaps even a field trip to local waters.

Andy has been a member of Trout Unlimited for many years and presents programs for them regularly.
