Virginia Tech took the lead at #20 Clemson late in the first half, and never trailed thereafter, in a 76-66 upset that does a lot for the Hokies’ NCAA Tournament hopes.

Tech (17-8, 6-6 ACC, NET: 51) picked up its third Quad 1 win of the season (Virginia, at Syracuse).

Jailen Bedford had 23 points (8-of-14 FG, 4-of-5 3FG, 3-of-3 FT) for the Hokies in the win.

Ben Hammond chipped in 19 points (5-of-11 FG, 3-of-6 3FG, 6-of-6 FT), and Tobi Lawal had 12 points (4-of-5 FG, 2-2-of-2 3FG, 2-of-2 FT) and nine rebounds.

Hot shooting from three – 11-of-21 – was key in the win over the Tigers (20-5, 10-2 ACC, NET: 33).
