Women’s Basketball: Virginia falls apart late, loses at Virginia Tech, 76-64

A late 11-2 Virginia Tech run doomed Virginia in a 76-64 loss on Sunday in Blacksburg.

The ‘Hoos (15-7, 7-4 ACC, NET: 37) trailed 63-58 with 4:33 to go, after a pair of free throws from Tabitha Amanze, and then went ice cold.

Virginia actually went more than six minutes without a bucket, missing nine straight shots, as the Hokies (18-5, 8-3 ACC, NET: 42) pulled away.

Kymora Johnson led Virginia with 19 points (6-of-16 FG, 3-of-10 3FG, 4-of-4 FT).
