RMH to host new weekly walking program for seniors

AFP

RMH will host a free Thursday morning community walking program on its campus for seniors beginning April 12.

The new “In the Loop” walking group is open to those aged 55 and up. Walks around the new RMH Health Campus will start at 9 a.m. Walkers will meet in Lot B, outside the Hahn Building. No registration is required.

On the fourth Thursday of each month, light refreshments will be served and prizes will be available for walkers.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends older adults get 150 minutes of moderate physical activity, such as walking, each week.

For more information, contact RMH Senior Outreach Specialist Olivia Haimani at 540-433-4231.
