Richmond Police identify victim in Christmas Night shooting; still looking for leads in case

Richmond Police have identified the victim of the homicide on Clarkson Road on Christmas Night.

Dashawn Khan, 22, of Richmond, was located down and unresponsive in the stairwell of an apartment building in the 9:29 p.m. incident, according to police.

Khan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Another adult male who had suffered an apparent gunshot wound was at the scene when officers arrived. His injury was not considered life-threatening, and he refused treatment.

A third adult male victim was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital. His injury was also not considered life-threatening.

Anyone with information about this homicide or the two aggravated assaults is asked to call Major Crimes Detective B. Neifeld at (804) 646-3246 or call Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
