Looks like we’ll have to make two February trips with UVA Baseball to start the 2025 season, the one to Puerto Rico, the second to Texas.

UVA Athletics announced Friday that the baseball program will take part in the Karbuch Round Rock Classic in Round Rock, Texas, Feb. 21-23. The ‘Hoos will play Minnesota, Oklahoma and Oregon State in the round-robin event at Dell Diamond, home of the Round Rock Express, the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.

All six games of the tournament are set to be broadcast via D1Baseball.com.

Tickets can be purchased per day or as a weekend package in select seating sections. Both reserved and general admission options are available.

Fans can purchase tickets now at KarbachRRC.com.

That one will be on the second weekend of the 2025 season. UVA opens its season at the Feb. 13-16 Puerto Rico Challenge.

UVA is one of eight teams taking part in the event – along with UConn, Michigan, Missouri, Penn State, Rice, Stetson and Villanova. Games will take place in Ponce at Francisco “Paquito” Montaner Stadium and in Mayagüez at Isidoro García Stadium.
