General Assembly candidates from up and down the Shenandoah Valley will meet in Harrisonburg and Woodstock to discuss environmental concerns including fish kills in the Shenandoah River and other water-quality issues.
The Harrisonburg forum is scheduled for Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Rockingham County Administration Center. Candidates invited to appear are 24th Senate District candidates David Cox, Emmett Hanger and Arin Sime, 26th House District candidates Carolyn Frank and Matt Lohr, and unopposed House incumbents Steve Landes and Chris Saxman.
The second forum is scheduled for Oct. 17 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School in Woodstock. Invited to appear at that forum are 26th Senate District candidates Mark Obenshain and Maxine Roles, 27th Senate District candidates Jill Holtzman Vogel, Donald Marro and Karen Schultz, 33rd House District candidates Marty Martinez and Joe May, and unopposed House incumbents Clay Athey, Todd Gilbert and Beverly Sherwood.
