All parents want their kids to look the best they possibly can. However, a haircut can be a fussy ordeal for any parent or child involved. Your little boy may not be too keen on getting a haircut and prepping for one can be a difficult task.

But, you can make it easier by going to the barber’s shop knowing exactly what you want or give your boy a haircut yourself with these professional barber scissors. To help you decide which haircut is right for your boy, we’ve compiled this list.

  1. The Crew Cut

A crew cut is a very common haircut for young boys. Yet, it still looks adorable. It also serves the purpose of keeping hair clean and non-messy. To get a crew cut, make sure your boy’s hair is cut at a nice uniform length with neatly trimmed edges. It’s better to get a professional to do this since it can be tricky to get the perfect length. You can also style the hair at the front any way you want to.

  1. The Side Part

This is an excellent haircut for little boys that have thin hair. Fine hair tends to lie flat against the head, with no volume. So, opt for a haircut that’s centered around keeping your boy’s hair down. One such haircut is the side part. For the side part, the hair at the bottom needs to be shorter than the hair at the top. Style the haircut by using a hair gel and parting the hair to one side.

  1. Buzzcut

The buzzcut is a great hairstyle for those rowdy little boys that tend to be messy. If you’re tired of bits of food or pieces of dirt stuck in your boy’s hair, get the buzzcut! This haircut has a lot of different lengths. You can get a complete buzzcut, which involves shaving off all the hair. Or, if you want to keep some length, use a clipper and leave a few inches of length.

  1. Shaved Sides

This haircut is very fashionable right now. Opt for this look if your baby boy has thin hair that lies down flat against the head. The shaved sides look finds a way to make thin hair look sophisticated and chic. Get the hair on the sides shaved and keep the hair in the middle long. You can then style the hair in the middle any way you want, slicked-back or puffed up.

  1. Faux Hawk

The Faux Hawk is a very common haircut for little boys. One we’re sure you’ve seen a lot because it’s easy to style. The faux hawk requires short hair, of roughly two to three inches. Leave the sides of your boy’s hair down. Just style the hair in the middle up in spikes using gel. This haircut is simple to do and is a timeless look for young boys.

  1. Mushroom Cut

The mushroom cut gained popularity in the 80s and is still widespread today. That’s because the mushroom cut looks adorable on little boys. Achieving this look is very simple, as well. This haircut involves hair cut evenly around the scalp. Towards the front, the hair falls on the forehead in a round shape – mimicking a mushroom head.

  1. Side-Swept Bangs

Side-swept bangs are an iconic look, thanks to Justin Bieber. While this look isn’t the best for grown men, it looks adorable on young boys! Luckily, it suits all face shapes so this you don’t have to worry about this haircut looking bad. You can also style side swept bangs easily by brushing your boy’s hair on either side.

  1. Long Messy Haircut

Long hair on young boys is all the rage right now among celebrity kids. Everyone’s choosing to let their young boys grow out their hair because it looks adorable! You can achieve this look by getting a long messy haircut. Keep hair at the front of the face a little shorter, and the rest of the hair longer. This will make the hair easier to manage.

  1. Mohawk Cut

We usually see the mohawk cut on grown men, but it’s a good option for young boys as well. For the mohawk cut, get your boy’s hair cut short. You can also get a fade on the sides, with the length of the hair decreasing as it reached the neck. Using gel, you can spike up the hair in the middle, all the way from the forehead to the back of the neck – achieving the mohawk cut.

  1. The Surfer Cut

The surfer cut is a mix of the side-swept bangs and the long messy haircut. This look suits boys with long blond hair the best. To get this style, grow your boy’s hair out all around. You’ll need the hair to be long on all sides. Once they’ve grown out, as the barber to cut them in a way that allows the hair to be swept on one side.

  1. Combover

A combover is a perfect haircut for little boys with silky hair. For this look, the barber will keep the hair on the sides short and trimmed. Hair at the top will be combed over to one side. This look is easy to manage since the length of the hair is short. No more worrying about a tangled mess of hair!

There’s a wide variety of haircuts that suit young boys. We’ve compiled this list to make a choice a bit easier for you. When you’re looking for a cute haircut, make sure to choose one that’ll suit your boy’s personality!
