augusta countyThe Augusta County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests in its ongoing investigation into numerous break-ins in the Deerfield and Churchville area since August of this year.

Anthony Talbott, 24, and Christopher Wade Armstrong, 29, both of Churchville, have been charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny.

Armstrong has been linked to at least 10 burglaries in Augusta County and one in Rockbridge County.  Numerous other investigations are still ongoing, and the ACSO is currently taking additional reports from property owners in the Deerfield area.

Additional charges will be presented to the grand jury in November.

Armstrong is currently being held at the Middle River Regional Jail with no bond.  Talbott is free on a $2,500 secured bond.
