The City of Charlottesville will host an open forum Citizen Informational Meeting for the Hillsdale Drive Extension Project on Wednesday, June 29, from 6-8 p.m. at the Senior Center, 1180 Pepsi Place.
The public is invited to attend this meeting to view the schedule and plans for the upcoming construction project as well as provide an opportunity to sign-up for traffic updates. City and contractor staffs will be present to talk with attendees about upcoming project activities and construction sequencing.
In early June, the City of Charlottesville reviewed all bids for the Hillsdale Drive Extension Project and issued a Notice of Intent to Award to Fielder’s Choice Enterprises, Inc.
The City received three bids for this project, which will provide a three-lane roadway between Greenbrier Drive in Albemarle County and Hydraulic Road in the City of Charlottesville. Fielder’s Choice submitted the lowest bid at $11.4 million. This project is funded through the Route 29 Solutions Package approved for funding in 2014 by the Commonwealth Transportation Board.
