Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance seeks entries for annual Veterans Day Parade

harrisonburg downtownJoin the City of Harrisonburg in honoring our nation’s heroes at the Annual Veterans Day Parade on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 pm in Downtown Harrisonburg. Flags will line Main Street as local veterans groups ride on patriotic floats accompanied by the Harrisonburg High School Marching Band and JROTC Unit, Boy Scout troops, civic organizations, and a convoy of military vehicles.

The parade will begin at 2:00 pm at the Rockingham County Administration Building and will travel south on Main Street to the City Municipal Building.

Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance invites all clubs, civic organizations, companies, and individuals to participate in the parade. All parade entries must display a patriotic theme or honor veterans in a special way. To enter, please visit downtownharrisonburg.org and download the parade entry form.

The entry fee is $25.00 for commercial entries and individual vehicles. Non-profit and government entities are exempt from this fee. Applications must be submitted to Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance on or before Nov. 1, 2015.
