Casey Pachall threw for three touchdowns, and the Virginia offense committed four turnovers in another underwhelming performance, and the Cavs lost on the roat at #16 TCU, 27-7, on Saturday.

Pachall got the Horned Frogs (3-0, 1-0 Big 12) on the scoreboard midway through the first quarter on a 68-yard pass to Brandon Carter to convert a third-and-nine play the big way and give TCU a 7-0 lead.

Virginia (2-2, 0-1 ACC) moved the ball consistently throughout, but suffered from poor field position when it wasn’t turning the ball over. Starting quarterback Michael Rocco threw two interceptions and was replaced by backup Phillip Sims, who was 5-of-12 passing for 63 yards and a touchdown in mopup duty.

That score, a 5-yard TD pass to E.J. Scott, pulled UVa. to within 20-7 with 4:22 left in the game.

TCU tacked on the final points on a 17-yard TD pass from Pachall to LaDarius Brown with 1:20 to go.
