A class offered by Writer House in Charlottesville on Saturday will help you learn how to plan, propose, and write your own cookbook.

This class, taught by Staunton author Mollie Cox Bryan, will cover everything from writing recipe head notes and listing your ingredients, to writing proposals and defining your topic. It will also discuss resources, building platform, and cookbook publishing trends. Registration required.

Bryan’s second cookbook, Mrs. Rowe’s Little Book of Southern Pies (Ten Speed Press/Random House 2009), was named one of the “Best Cookbooks of the Year” by All Foods Considered.

Writer House is located at 508 Dale Ave. in Charlottesville.
