wm-logoAfter extending its winning streak to three games with a 33-19 victory against Lafayette on Saturday, the William and Mary football team moved up in both major Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) polls this week. W&M is ranked No. 12 in The Sports Network Poll, while it is No. 13 in the Coaches Poll.

W&M’s spot in the TSN poll represents the program’s highest ranking since midway through the 2011 season.

The Tribe wrapped up its non-conference slate with the win against Lafayette and improved to 3-1 this season. In addition to the victory against the Leopards, W&M also owns wins versus Hampton and Norfolk State.

In addition to W&M, this week’s TSN poll includes five other teams from the Colonial Athletic Association – New Hampshire (No. 4), Villanova (No. 6), Richmond (No. 20), Albany (No. 24) and Delaware (No. 25).

The Tribe will open its conference slate when it plays at Stony Brook this Saturday at 6 p.m.
